Black Art Book Swap

Soul Fly Club Presents: The Black Art Book Swap We invite you to a communal gathering centered on the sharing, exchange, and discovery of art books by Black artists, writers, and cultural workers. This event creates space for participants to bring books from their personal collections—ranging from exhibition catalogs and artist monographs to zines, theory, and independent publications—and trade or share them within the group. Black Art Book Swap is a communal gathering through exchange, attendees build personal libraries, expand their references, and engage in a living archive that honors Black creativity, history, and thought. Grounded in access, dialogue, and collective learning, the gathering fosters connection through print culture and storytelling. As we celebrate the opening of our new studio space, this event also serves as a fundraiser to support Soul Fly Club’s ongoing mission and vision. Guests are encouraged to donate as they’re able, helping sustain future programming, workshops, and community-centered experiences. Bring a book! This event is for BIPOC and queer folks only.
