Flea Muti Listening Hour

Mouth of Rain x Soul Fly Club Presents: Listening Hour; Mama Africa As an extension of the Black Lesbian Listening Room series, Fela Kuti Listening Party, the event honors music as archive, history, and lived experience. Participants are invited to bring vinyl ranging from treasured favorites to overlooked gems, engaging in a shared circulation of sound and story. This gathering also serves as a fundraiser supporting Soul Fly Club’s and Mouth of Rain's upcoming Black Lesbian Listening Room in August, featuring Jamila Woods. Contributions and donations will directly support the production of this intimate listening experience, helping sustain spaces dedicated to Black queer sound, rest, and cultural expression. More than a swap, this is an invitation into a living archive—where records move between hands, memories surface through speakers, and listening becomes an act of care, preservation, and collective building.
