Intro to Drawing: Texture

Rough, shiny, furry, matte. Learn how to render these textural illusions using diverse mark-making techniques, exploring line weight, and playing with contrast. We’ll start with a short discussion on how texture is accomplished in drawing ,and how different techniques result in different textures. You’ll then work on a few warm up exercises, familiarizing yourself with the techniques discussed. The class will wrap up with a guided art piece highlighting different textures.
