Photo Embroidery

Learn how to add color, texture, movement, and whimsy to some of your favorite photographs. Photo embroidery dates back as far as the early 1800s, when silk embroidery on photographs was taught at specialized academies. And today, we’re seeing a resurgence in popularity of this fun, and meaningful, art form. Bring your favorite photographs and we will show you how to design, prep, and embroider your photo. If you’re concerned about altering an original photo, we can also print a copy and glue it to card stock. We will also have vintage photos and postcards available to embroider, should you want to go that route instead. This event is also BYOB. Feel free to bring your favorite beverage to enjoy while crafting. We have glasses available, no need to bring disposables.
