Papier Mâché Mirror Frame Workshop

Description: Create a one-of-a-kind decorative mirror using handmade paper pulp and papier mâché techniques! In this hands-on class, you'll learn how to transform recycled paper into sculptable paper pulp, including shredding, soaking, blending, and mixing ingredients to create a versatile sculpting material. You'll then design and build a custom frame around a mirror, adding texture, shape, and artistic details that reflect your personal style. From whimsical and organic forms to bold, colorful designs, you'll explore paper pulp creation, sculpting, construction, and finishing techniques while transforming everyday materials into a functional work of art. Please note this is a 2 step process. The frame must dry for at least 72 hours prior to painting. You have 2 options for painting and decorating: you can take a kit home to complete on your own, or you can come back to the studio to paint with Gabrielle. No experience necessary. This event is also BYOB. Feel free to bring your favorite beverage to enjoy while crafting. We have glasses available, no need to bring disposables.
